What inspires me the most about editorial illustration is the endless variety of stories and topics that come across my desk. The story is usually the engine that drives the initial sketch stage. Once I start doodling, I quickly generate a few idea sketches that I forward to the art director via e-mail. After the art director approves a design idea, I'll tweak it, if needed and start inking in Illustrator. Finally, I colorize the art add texture in Photoshop.
